Why I started this blog
With eight years of experience as an economic assistance social worker and supervisor, I’ve helped countless individuals and families navigate the sysem. My work has taken me to large cities and small towns throughout the West and Midwest, giving me a unique perspective on the challenges people face. I’ve also run a small food pantry and, as a veteran and parent, I understand the importance of a strong social safety net.
I created this blog based on the belief that a government’s main purpose is to enable its people to thrive. I’m passionate about empowering others through information, because knowledge is power and our collective voices can make a difference. My hope is that this blog will not only help you find the resources you need, but also inspire you to advocate for a more supportive community for everyone.
